Dinner on the Bus

In May we launched the Summer Hoopla - a series of supper clubs, spas and talks popping up across Manchester this summer.

Kicking things of were Real Junk Food Project who served a middle-eastern inspired banquet of intercepted food, which would have otherwise been destined for the bin. Guests sat on the top deck of the bus overlooking the lake in Alexandra Park as the sun set on one of the hottest days of the year so far. We couldn't have planned it better ourselves!

Heart & Parcel were next to take on the gauntlet of serving dinner on a bus. This time guests were treated to a Pierogi-making workshop on the lower deck followed by a Polish feast - including sweet and savoury dumplings. Whilst the weather wasn't as kind to us, we like to think the gentle patter of rain on a bus roof was pretty romantic too!

Keep an eye out for some more supper clubs hosted by local food enterprises popping up later in the year.
