  • Mayfield Depot Temperance Street Manchester (map)

Discover what it takes to run your own food business at 4Lunch’s Recipe for Success events for aspiring foodies, entrepreneurs and community projects in Manchester.

The food and drink scene is thriving and there are many opportunities to get a slice of the action. Come along to find out exactly what it takes to start your own street food business from people who’ve made it a success!

In Making it as a street food trader, 4Lunch will be in conversation with Jimmy, the founder of Nasi Lemak. Specialising in Malaysian Street Food, Jimmy has traded all over the North West, feeding hundreds of people from a simple market stall.

Jimmy's food has proved so popular that Nasi Lemak was shortlisted as Street Food Trader of the Year at the Manchester Food & Drink Festival Awards 2018. Jimmy continues to build his business through regular markets, pop-ups and kitchen takeovers, so there will be plenty to discuss around the hectic life as a food business owner!

The conversation will be hosted by Amy Win from 4Lunch, a social enterprise that has been delivering cookery classes, food business training and catering in Greater Manchester since 2013.

4Lunch are launching Recipe for Success, a new online course designed to help individuals and community groups to start their own food enterprises.
